Kenyon’s Virtual Log Book – Comment Here!

Congratulations on your skydive!  Thank you very much for being apart of my journey.  If you are here it is because you either were a tandem student, had still stills/video of your skydive or experienced AFF training with me (Kenyon Salo) as your instructor.

This logbook has been created for you to comment on your experience with me on your recent visit to:

Mile Hi Skydiving Center

The logbook is:

  • For you to comment on the experience you had.
  • For others to see what the experience is like.
  • For me to log my jumps with each and every individual.
  • For me to improve upon my service to everyone who requests to skydive with me.

Thank you for coming and thank you for commenting!  Please come back and do another skydive with me!

  8. Two days ago i did my first jump ever, which was an AFF jump. I never did Tandem at all. Looking back on it, maybe i should have done a Tandem first because when it came time to leave the plane, i started freaking out! I basically started to panic… my mouth went dry, it was hard to breathe, and i just couldn’t believe i was about to jump out of the plane. Kenyon was one of my AFF instructors and he was totally cool! He talked me through it and calmed me down. He was very encouraging and stayed positive the whole time. That may seem to be a small thing, but believe me, it made the difference between me freaking out and backing out and me deciding to go ahead with the jump. So thank you so much Kenyon! I was so glad to jump with you. And i’m so glad that i did make that jump because it has to be the single most greatest experience of my life! It’s all i can think about now… i jumped 2 days ago and my thoughts are still consumed by it. I even dreamed about it last night! If Kenyon hadn’t been so supportive and encouraging and talked me through my panic, then i probably wouldn’t have jumped and i would have missed out on such an amazing experience. But Kenyon and I jumped out with another instructor and began freefall. The training at Mile Hi Skydiving Center was outstanding as well! They taught me all the basic stuff i needed to know to survive jump. One thing they taught me was how to properly leave the plane. I didn’t do so well with that, but Kenyon and the other instructor were able to get me stabilized in the air and make sure that i did my safety checks and stay in a good position for freefall. He was with me until i pulled my chute. Once we were back on the ground, Kenyon asked me to go over every detail of the jump with him and he gave me great feedback about what he saw. He explained what i did good, what i could have done better, and what i forgot to do. He was great through the whole jump and i’m so very thankful that he was there with me on my first jump! I owe a
lot to Kenyon, because now that he has helped me to successfully complete a jump, i’m hooked…i would do this every weekend if i could! Thanks again Kenyon, you’re awesome!

  9. Quentin:

Your words are kind, your post was awesome and the jump was phenomenal. You are a big guy, but you made it seem easy. That shows that you are 100% in tune with your body and your confidence to complete a task at hand. I look forward to jumping with you again…see you at the DZ.

  10. Kenyon has an amazing ability to facilitate personal growth within a person. Turning 40 years old was a challenging event for me and I found myself feeling a bit “stuck” in my life. To celebrate this momentous birthday, I went skydiving and was fortunate to have Kenyon as my Tandem partner. What an extraordinary experience that day was, as well as what was to follow!

With Kenyon’s positive attitude, vast life experiences, knowledge and education, I was inspired to accomplish goals and gained a new perspective on things in my life, which is what I was seeking. My time with Kenyon has proved to be invaluable and I would highly recommend all that he has to offer!

  11. Hey Kenyon,

Just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for everything Saturday. You were my video guy when I did my first jump. What an amazing thing it was. Not only did I check of one of the things on my list to do before I die, but I also had one of the most profound experience of my life. Not since living on an island in Alaska’s wilderness have I felt so at peace and alive as I did this weekend. Thanks to you I will never forget it. Nice touch by the way I love that you included my girlfriend in the video too. We loved it…I’m actually a little afraid that I might be addicted. The jump has been replaying in my mind since my feet touched solid ground.

Enjoy the summer and keep doing what your doing!

    Best,
    Sam
