George Sampson gives 10 keys of inspiration that we should all live by.  This just released to YouTube is the Semi Final of George Sampson.  I was amazed by his first performance this year and now I am awed by his abilities, energy and undoubted desire to be a dancer.  It is 100% clear who this kid wants to be and nothing is going to stop him.

In the run up to his performance the editors of Britains Got Talent (BGT) Show film him getting ready, talking about where he has been and thinking about where he is going.  Out of that came 10 inspirational comments that we should all think about and live our lives by.  If you are inspired by George Sampson and if you desire to be as great as he is, at whatever you do, then take his energy and use it as your own.

Second Step is to understand that everything he said has such deeper meaning into how to achieve all that you want to achieve.  I have pulled quotes from the interviews and added insight to them.

1) “I have just got bigger and better…” - When asked what he has done in the past year since the 2007 BGT Shows he states, “I have just got bigger and better…”  He clearly knew what he needed to do in order to come back a year later.  He had only one choice and one choice alone.  To get better!  He refused to let that stop him a year ago and now he is standing on the stage once again.

2) “I’m in the Semi-Finals…Wow!” – You can tell by his expressions that he is exactly where he has visualized he would be for so long.  He knew he would be in the Semi-Finals.  He knew that if he came back with bigger and better moves that he would be a contender.  He trained day in and day out believing that he could, in fact, be there at the Semi-Finals in front of those judges.  Because he had that exact dream ingrained in his mind…it indeed comes to fruition and the word “wow” explains it all.

3) “Last year I did not make it to the Semi-Finals and I was really gutted…” - Just like a flower grows back from the forest floor after a devastating fire so too does George Sampson’s growth from a major setback in his young career.  He was gutted by not making it to the Semi-Final round in 2007, but that in turn made him grow stronger.  I believe that he was not quite ready to win it last year and the forest fire, the set back that occurred in 2007 made him regrow even stronger and better (see item 1) to handle the competition in 2008 and that shows through during his performance.

4) “People never really get second chances…”  - This is very true and George understands this to its very basic core.  We are all given one gift in this world.  It is this one chance that we must find, cultivate, nourish and grow into who we are and who we will become.  There is not a second chance just out there.  Everything we do is towards this one never ending chance we were given.  Most do not know this and many people never put their heart into what they have been given.  If they did then they would be on stage next to him or equally successful in their life.

5) “I’m over the moon at the moment!” - This is a wonderful and powerful place to be.  When all that you have worked so hard to get starts coming into the light…these feelings must be observed and are well deserved.  Having a feeling of “being over the moon” means that you cannot get any higher than you are right now.  Relish in that feeling, because it is what will give you the energy to succeed in the performance of a lifetime.

6) “I just really want to be a dancer…” - When you focus on your true passion then it will give you affirmation on your path to success.  For George this affirmation is that he knows in his soul that he “just really wants to be a dancer”.  With that one and only thing at the forefront of his mind then he will be just that…a dancer…and a great one at that.  If we simply fill in that sentence with our own desire then we can be just that….  “I just really want to be….”  The choice is yours.

7) “Kids don’t get the opportunities to do what I want to do – fulfill their dreams!” - Opportunities are created not given.  George created his current opportunity the minute he decided he wanted to be a dancer.  The minute he started to train day in and day out on the streets of Manchester.  Those opportunities started coming his way when he created the space for them to fill.  When he desired to be on BGT, when he knew he was great and put the effort to come back in 2008.  His dreams will be fulfilled because he created them in his head in the first place.  When he says that other “kid’s don’t get the opportunities”, it’s because they never created, decided and dreamed liked George has.  You only need to decide to have any opportunity and dream that you want.

“Not only do I want it so much! – I need it! – It changed my life! – This competition is everything!” – Desire, passion, confidence, commitment and energy in these words.  With these thoughts and words only…he is nearly unstoppable.  He knows this in his head and he is letting the world know how badly he wants it.  Because of this he has all the tools in his head to succeed and win this.  George has a story, but he is creating the ending as we speak.

9) “It does not get much better than that!” - At the end of the performance he was asked “how was that?” and his response was a resounding, “It does not get much better than that!”  When an idea of perfection is completed and sometimes surpassed then we know that our goals have been met.  George set out to give the performance of a lifetime.  Inside he knows that the Finals Round will be even tougher.  George will need to say that sentence again to win this.  He will need to step it up one more level.  He will need to be bigger and better than his last round.  This is what life is about.  Being bigger and better in yourself, to yourself and in this world to be successful.  If we continue to say, “It does not get much better than that!” each and everyday then think of the possibilities.

10) “It’s been worth every second!” - Well said…if we all felt this way then how amazing would it be!  Strive for this as something you desire and nothing will stop you as nothing is stopping George Sampson and his dreams.
