A must watch for anyone who has kids, knows kids or is wondering how they also can personally learn about the future of learning. This inspiring video is about the how our kids are learning today and how they will learn tomorrow.
After watching this I realized that this is NOT just for our kids, but anyone who is in a constant state of learning. We all need to take these concepts into our minds.
My belief is that the kids in this world are the innovators and if we are not keeping up with them then we will quickly be left behind. The phrase “to see the world through a child’s eyes” holds immensely true here. If you can learn about what they love, learn about the things they are doing and keep pace with how they see and envision the world, then you will be as successful as them.
Stay up to speed with their disussions of what is hot, cool, fun and exciting. Pick up their buzzwords and use them to your advantage. Understand that a paradigm shift is happening and their ideas about Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Blogs, RSS, life, school, cell phones, etc are hugely important in understanding this paradigm shift.
It is good to remember the phrase of the man locking the door to his business for the final time because he had to close down…”but that is the way we have always done it?” Stay up to speed with the younger generation and you will never have to close your doors for the final time. Crazily enough the Internet allows the world to not even have doors.
The paradigm shift is happening and happening fast. The probable state of the shifts is that another one is right behind it and we have to keep pace with that one also. If not then then our kids will take over with their innovative ideas at a faster pace than ever before and leave us holding the “remote control to life” that they no longer need because they have a better way. Think about it…

These are the kinds of things that people who home school their kids are able to do. I’m very glad to be part of that group. Great video!
Video was taken off You Tube. I have reposted it as a QT movie on my site.
