Will.I.AM (artist from the group Black Eyed Peas) has produced a few YouTube videos of his support for Barack Obama.  The powerful thing behind this is that both videos have amazing words, rhythms and passion mixed into them.  The first video I posted “Yes We Can!” says a lot about what you can do as a individual working as a collective “WE”.  More on that in a future post…but for now think about those words and how they pertain to yourself.

As I stated before, inspiration comes in many forms and it is clear that Will.I.AM is passionate about creating change, inspiration and motivation through a medium he understands.  Music and  visual images combined together for these YouTube clips to make a difference in the world. 

If you take a look at the title and and think more about it you realize that “We Are The Ones”.   That is exactly right, we are the ones that will make a difference in this world.  Individually we all have a roll in being passionate, inspirational and good to ourselves.  Once we do this then we can come together as a collective “WE” to build a better nation and world.

Sure support of Barack Obama gives us a potential leader who will keep us motivated to be better as individuals, but he is right.  Yes “We” Can! with “WE” being the most important part.  Again focusing on yourself on being a better individual…then leads us into coming together as a collective “WE” to help others.

Adding to the “We” thoughts you may notice that this video may be speaking directly in support of Barack Obama for President.  It is better to look at this in a way that the video is speaking to us.  Make the change in yourself first and then help others.  “How can I be of service to myself and then how can I be of service to others?” 

Will.I.AM has worked on his music and career and now he is able to take his passion for music, combine it with his passion for political change, to make a difference…and he is doing an amazing job at it.  My guess is that he is doing this long before thinking of a paycheck.  They cool thing about it is that indirectly it will circle back around to support his career.  It is very cool to see people being passionate about something that helps the world.  Music does this, support for politcal change does this, being “you” does this.
