Passion Before Paycheck – What’s Your Passion?
Name: Keith Knowler
Location: Durban, South Africa
Age: 81
My real passion in life has always been property. It lights my fires and gives my creative juices lots of space to play my games and exercise my imagination with these adventures.
I can, for hours, once I identify an exciting development, conjure up an entire project with full visual of the finished product and its operation. I can “see” every move shifting into place, including financing, architecture, engineering, landscaping, beneficial usage of the physical occupation of the various players and their hopes and dreams of living there.
It all rolls out and comes to life in my head. I believe that it is something anyone can do if that is where their passion lies.
Passion surmounts money. It’s superior to money although this will not be real to some. Passion is the driving force so be careful if money is the driving force, it doesn’t work. Passion attracts money; this is the secret.
Don’t confuse the two. Of course, a good understanding of money and its administration is very necessary, but as part of the game it is itself a totally separate subject.
You learn how to manage finance but passion comes as part of you and is something that you just know; call it your divine inheritance or the real you.
This is my perspective and it may seem a little unreal, but it works for me.
Keith
Keith would like you to visit a recent property that he bought, renovated and turned into a successful hotel that he recently sold… Gladdington Hotel

Keith reminds me of my dad, for years he has enjoyed buying and selling investment properties.
Keith, great comments! I like how you differentiated money from passion – something I think many have trouble with. For me, my trouble has been being passionate about too many things and having immense difficulty choosing what I am most passionate about to build a fulfilling career. It sometimes seems like an impossible task. Any advice you could impart ? Pls send note to ‘publicadvocat@yahoo.com’. Much thx!
