Ever since I was a little boy, I had a love for flying. But not like most young children. My mother has (and still does to this day) quoted me as saying as a young child that ” I want to fly”. My Mom would tell me, “Yes Brady, we will get you into flying lessons as soon as you’re old enough”. My reply was, “No I want to fly by myself”.  My mom would reply, “what do you mean?”  ”No airplane, on my own”.  All though the details of how exactly I was going to fly on my own were to be figured out, my parents kept that promise.  They would respond with “Of course you will Brady; you can do anything you want. Just believe you can”.

I have had the absolute pleasure of being my parent’s child.  Because of them I never felt like there was something I could not accomplish.

I was raised in a Lutheran Faith but the beliefs and practice of this was never “shoved down my throat”.  My parents felt that If I had some kind of religious background, that I would be wise enough to decide what I felt was right.

Through the course of my childhood and adolescence, I felt a strong desire to simply explore the world I was surrounded by.  If intrigued me to no end!  I would spend summer afternoons watching enormous clouds build over the Colorado Rockies. (if you have ever been to or live in Colorado and watched these thunderstorms build you know what I am talking about) All I could imagine was having the ability to break the bounds of gravity and fly amongst them.  Going to the mountains was absolutely epic as well.  My family would camp quite a bit when I was younger.  Being in the heart of Mother Nature was overwhelming.

Through all of these common but unique experiences, I felt a love that was like no other.  A feeling of belonging and oneness with all that surrounded me.

The first job I ever had was for Mile Hi Skydiving Center.  A man by the name of Jeff Sands blessed me with the opportunity to pack parachutes at the ripe age of 14.  This was a very big turning point in my life.  I had literally found an activity that would allow me to fly just like I wanted as a kid!  I worked at Mile Hi Skydiving all through high school and on my 18th Birthday, August 17, 2001 I spread my wings and flew for the first time.

I finished my certification in one month and continued to jump every weekend.  While I was “maturing” in the sport I received my FAA senior riggers certification.  This allowed me to explore the very sophisticated and downright amazing equipment we use to jump out of airplanes.  In September of 2005, I received my AFF instructor rating. This allowed me to bring people into my world and show them what I love so much.  This is by far the most rewarding job I have ever had.  To see the look of pure happiness on a students face is such an indescribable feeling.  The crazy part is after a couple of weeks of skydiving with all sorts of amazing people and bringing them into my world, a check shows up with my name on it.  In all honesty, I sometimes forget I get paid to do it.  Imagine taking something you love (reading, playing sports, racing cars, etc..) and getting paid to do it. But…the crazy part of it all is that the money is the last thing I think about.  I wake up on my days off and get excited to go back to work in 2 days. I get to go Skydiving again and again!

My whole life I was told that I’d better get ready for “the Real World”.  I was told in school that the real world was out there and nothing would be able to prepare me for it. I  moved away from home 6 years ago and every year, things got better and better.  Of course there are some struggles but that’s part of the game.

When I was out of school, I started doing research on things I truly loved.  Several of these topics were quantum physics, philosophy, world religions and spiritual practices. These subjects brought me to a level of understanding that I never could have imagined.

When I acquired my riggers ticket I also learned how to sew.  I was trained on industrial machines.  These machines are NOT your grandmother’s machines.  On particular machines, the needle is literally smoking when you are finished!  In skydiving these machines allow us to construct harnesses, containers and parachutes that are unbelievably strong. (upwards of 9000lbs of tension strength)

For some unexplainable reason, I have always loved backpacks.  The ability to carry anything I needed with me.  About 2 years ago, I started designing bags just for fun. Basing the design off of things I would be carrying with me at the time.  These concepts and sketches would stay dormant in my notebook for about a year and a half.  This past fall I moved into a house with the love of my life.  We were fortunate enough to find a house that would allow us to work from home.  At the beginning of this year, I acquired an industrial sewing machine that I now have set up in my spare bedroom in my new house.  After the move I found my notebook with all my sketches and bag concepts in it.

I then founded Spyro Wear bags and accessories. I have incorporated the materials and technology from skydiving and the amazing designs of sacred geometry and other divine symbolism into the manifestation and creation of my bags.

The whole drive behind these designs of bags and backpacks is the meaning and intention behind every single one.

The first set of bags I built were based off of the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci sequence.  These equations are symbolic of the golden spirals found throughout the universe micro to macro. (From the spirals of our galaxy to the spiral structure of our own DNA)

This was the inspiration for the name: Spyro Wear.  I do most of my own designs on these bags but I do custom orders as well… Just as long as it has a special meaning to you.

I have found that in the last couple of months, there is a true passion within me to spread the word of a higher consciousness and convey it through style.  I have sold about 15 bags total but the thing I truly look forward to is constructing more of my bags with the deepest of meaning and utmost love.

If you happen to see one of my bags I promise you will recognize the imagery.  Why… because all of these images have been around for thousands of years in our world. Because of that, the imagery that you see carries with it a collective consciousness.  Just the way you associate words and smells with a particular experience, you will feel the absolute meaning behind every symbol or image put on a Spyro Wear product.

Although your two physical eyes may have never viewed these images, I guarantee you, your third eye, your higher self or your soul recognizes them.  And when you see one of my bags, do me one favor…Smile!  Because when you see one of them you will know that there was nothing but deliberate creation and pure love behind every one.  These are more than just bags and accessories. They are recognition and symbols of our true self, our source energy.  These bags with their designs will be a subtle reminder of who you truly are.  You are Human, here to experience all you possibly can and enjoying every moment of it.

Here I am, right here, right now. What a gift!
