I was blown away by this email as it went straight to my core of all that I know is right. The right idea, the right thought, the right passion to follow and that I am on the right journey. A place where people could post their inner most thoughts, feelings and ideas about who they are and where they are going. A place where you could put exactly what “you” believe your passion to be this day, week or month. I was reminded today by a contributor to this site that, ”passions change and can change on daily basis. A person’s passion that is “now” can be old hat and something new by next week.” I suppose that is what is so great about being human is that we have the ability to believe so strongly in one idea or belief and then in a flash change it to something else. All we have to do is decide and then…it “is”, and always will be until we decide again.
Many people have asked what my plan for this site is? Is it money, fame, general blogging, gain coaching clients, etc. As the site evolved organically I have watched it go from nothing to something of value in less than a week. While I did start the site back in February, I merely posted two items because I wanted to see how it worked. Then one week ago it came to me that I must sit and write. And write I did, but before I knew it, ideas were coming from everywhere in my head and almost too fast to put them down into text.
Then while in the middle of a Group Spin Class it hit me…so hard I nearly fell off my bike. (My best ideas come when I am in an open energetic state and I believe there is a connection). The idea was to create a place where people could in fact put down there passions into writing and allow others to seek them out for inspiration and motivation. I would request for people to submit their world to this central place for many to gather.
The interesting thing about this plan is that it is proving to cause transformations on both sides of the post. A reader walks away feeling happy, excited, motivated or inspired from reading what someone else has put their heart and soul into. The other side of the post is where I find it even more powerful. Each and every writer has told me that putting their passion down onto paper has caused a point of reflection, motivation and internal inspiration. A growing experience where they really got into their very own work, head and thoughts to realize that in those paragraphs, sentences and words are who they were, are presently and who they are about to become.
Shortly after some of these conversations with these contributors I got the email posted at the top of this page and it was the feather in the cap.
”I was drawn to your page through a desire to meet like minded people because im sure you are aware, such life changing decisions can be daunting and the self doubt creeps in and it is good to know that there are others who live the same way.”
He was talking in regards to searching, seeking, looking and finding people that had decided to follow their passion first and paycheck second. A person who was deciding to follow their dreams and to do so would have to battle the demons of self doubt and internal “self talk” that almost always wins amongst most individuals. This site did satisfy for him what he is looking for and could do the same for so many other people in this world.
Then there is the person in the middle (me). I find that my growth inside is happening so fast that it is hard to contain as it boils over. I am the person that is drawing energy, experiences and love from both sides of the post, from the author and the reader. It is truly an amazing experience and as I learn more about people’s personal inspiration I seek to give that back to so many others.
I now know that if I continue to create a place for both the writer and the reader to grow, flourish and become individuals that they never dreamed as possible…then it is worth knowing that in itself and payoff would be 1000 fold and not one cent of it would be money. Just the knowing that the people you read about on this site know they are passionate about themselves, their desires and their dreams is enough.
