About the Author

Kenyon Salo embodies the true meaning behind…”Follow Your Passion.”  Recently Kenyon decided to leave a fast track corporate job in order to follow his dreams, bliss and passion.  Then he cleaned his plate by selling his other businesses of 11 years to focus on life choices that were 100% in alignment with who he is.  After a number of self directed, thought provoking months…Kenyon wrote down his A for Astronaut to Z for Zoologist List… a  list to determine who he was and who was he supposed to become.  This involved an exercise  of writing all the things you love to do, have done in the past and strengths that who made you who you are today… from childhood to yesterday.  It was very clear that Kenyon would be a personal coach, but one that would include adventure, fear based activities and looking deep into the mind of client to help clarify each person’s unique and true passion.

His passion is to be a coach that would grow into helping thousands of people pursue their true inner dreams by confronting those fears and tearing them down.  He believes that if you can confront the worst imagined scenario, anything is possible.  A BASE Jumping incident did just that for him.  This scary BASE Jumping incident showed him that death is possible and that sometimes we get really lucky, but “without the realization that death is possible then there is no life to live”…  Click

Passion Before Paycheck grew out of this concept. He found our that for him as well as others, wealth came as a by-product of success.  Wealth has  meaning far beyond money. It encompasses wealth in all aspects of human life:  financial, mental, physical, relational and spiritual.

He developed theories based on the Passion BeforePaycheck concept.  These theories are instrumental in seeking out inspirational people who used to make an average wage doing what they loved. Then learning and taking from their inspiration to show others that if you follow your passion in undoubtedly will lead to success.

He has coined the phrase “Life is an adventure…do not die without one!”  This double meaning phrase goes deep into the soul and makes you think about each and every day that is in front of you.

After almost two decades of his own self development training, he has learned to master his mental state when faced with fears of all levels. Examples include fears from death, extreme sports, family and self/personal destruction, overwhelming debt, loss of income, uncertainty and many others.  All of these fears have been experienced directly by the author himself.  Once these fears have been mastered, they provide the power and energy to accomplish anything.  The trick is learning to harness that fear instead of letting it debilitate you.

  2. Awesome. the world needs adventure coaches like you!
Recently I heard an explanation of why adventurers love adventures …something I’d tried to explain all my life. Nobody seems to understand why I play the way I do .. (in a much quieter way than you)… and why the injuries just haven’t stopped me! The moments of being fully in the adventure takes you completely out of the rest of the world of thoughts and so completely into the moment. It is a spiritual experience that few get to know!
Found your blog via ICA.. just wanted to say VERY VERY cool, VERY inspiring. Play on! AND please coach like crazy. I truly would have loved to have had a coach early on who understood the absolute necessity of passion before other stuff!

    Much magic!
